Gyro by Brodie Neill

A2 poster
2016

Designer Brodie Neill represented Australia at the London Design
Biennale with his work ‘Plastic Effects’. Brodie’s centrepiece, ‘Gyro’,
is a table constructed of microplastics collected from around the world
highlighting the problem of ocean plastic waste.

The poster uses the shocking statistics of plastics in our ocean
(supplied by the University of Tasmania) scattered in a colourful array
over Brodie’s fading blue ‘gyro’ motif. The design depicts the broken
down fragments of microplastic floating at sea.
